Moving Forward

There is one paragraph which I wish I was the one who wrote:

I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.

I thank apostle Paul for writing these words and the privilege of realizing the experience of Philippians 4:12–13’s reality in my life.

It is true that it became my life verse when I was in Junior college in the Philippines. It remained faithful to me as I face plot twists in my life regaining my character in the United States. It is still the powerful mantra I keep repeating each day, an everlasting word, a prophecy of my lips that fills the void in my heart. A flame in the Spirit, and a reminder of the lifter of my head and how my little fragile self can manage to stand. Now, I am coming as a new UC college student, but 3 degrees hotter! Oh I mean, 3 degrees holder from my dear City College of San Francisco celebrating my AS-T in English, AS-T in Liberal Arts and Science, AA in Liberal Arts with Emphasis in Humanities, an IGETC certificate, Dean’s Lister acknowledgment, and a Creative writing certificate in the making in the coming Fall’20.
As I embark on my journey of continuing my studies, please remember that I am the return of all your investments; your kindness, love, prayers, encouragement, and time.
Thank you a million times to all the people who helped me.
You are all too many to mention, but you and I both know the everlasting support and love you invested in me — especially my family.
I am truly grateful.
Thank you for your helping hands which are always open for me when I need a rescue and a guide and thank you for those same hands which would fold when I needed prayers.

The journey is like growing roses on concrete, but heaven keeps pouring its rain and sunshine for me, and I am a witness.
